From the desk of Susie G:
What is the best diet for your health and well-being? I believe that one of the best diets is to STOP complaining. I know this to be true because I have suffered from this dreaded discontentment in my own life and I have been the complainer! And whom would you be without your whining or ability to complain or blame? Wouldn’t you be happier, and have more mental liberty? Ask yourself are those emotions healing or harmful? Why is it that I’m complaining and feeling dissatisfied? What haven’t I learned or let go of? Am I still living in my emotional past? What on earth has me so discontent that I have become the dreaded complainer also known as the incessant nagger? How did this become part of who I am?
Who Would YOU be Without your Complaints?
You know that your complaining is just another habit right? It is something you have just practiced enough times, that it has become part of your personality? What would your life look like without your complaints? What would it look like if you didn’t allow others to complain to you? You get what you tolerate in life so if you allow it and accept it, you will get it. You are responsible for the energy you emit in other people’s presence and you are responsible for the energy your permit in your presence. So what are you doing and what are you allowing that is keeping you from your best self? It stops when you decide it will.
A few weeks ago my husband said to me “Hey, you are complaining an awful lot, what’s with you?” I was totally shocked and taken aback, I went into defense mode. I thought that can’t be. But after a few days of reflection, I noticed I had been nagging at him and complaining about a bunch of different things. I even wrote it down, the moments I wanted to complain about something and I had a pad of paper and I couldn’t believe it. I had a full pad of paper and I was literally shocked. Hy husband had given me a gift, he had been honest with his observation and had the courage to speak up. It is almost impossible to change if you are not aware of what you are doing or being is it? In order to change, you must become aware of the subconscious habits that are running the show. The people who love you are willing to do this for you because they see you not living your best self and they are willing to risk you getting upset in order to help you become better. You must also be a willing participant in your own life. It is sometimes uncomfortable to call people out, but it is also necessary sometimes isn’t it?
This insidious habit was back. Where did it come from and how did it start? I hadn’t a clue. And at this point it didn’t really matter. All I knew was that I was determined to get rid of it! A confident person isn’t going to complain or let others complain to them, a confident person is going to be self-aware, stop the issue from escalating, decide for themselves that this behavior is not good enough and know it is not helping them get what they want, it is only hindering them. They are WILLING to make the necessary changes, they are the movers and shakers and they will do it.
Stop Preventing Your Success
It is important to create an environment to support your goals, and clear out the clutter in your life, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. This type of clutter blocks your energy and prevents your success. This type of disturbance negates your ability to move forward, creates a stack attack of clogged energy and keeps calling you back to the past to clean up unfinished business. How can you create an amazing future based on the emotions of the past?
Moving forward takes a level of mental fortitude and emotional strength. You are going to have to become aware of the habits and rituals that are holding you back. It isn’t always easy to admit you have a lot to work on, but that is okay, that is part of life. If we are to become better at something, we are going to have to work at it. Just like the muscles in your body, you cannot forget to workout your mental muscles too. When you are too busy complaining about what you don’t have or who is bothering you and what they have? How on earth are you going to focus on your goals? All that vital energy is being wasted and you are obsessing about things, people and places that are robbing you from having peace of mind and having happiness and joy, cause you are too busy nagging, whining and complaining. Is this you? I know it has been me, on more than one occasion and I now vow it is going to stop! I am not going through life in this way. “If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life that you want, you are going to eventually be forced to spend a lot of time, dealing with a life you don’t want.” Kevin Ngo.
Stop the Insanity and Lead by Example
What if you stopped complaining and obsessed about what you loved instead of what you don’t want in your life and kept complaining about it? How differently would your life look? Wouldn’t you be happier, have more peace in your life and be freer? Free to concentrate and focus on what’s important instead of wasting your energy and your time on being discontent. Fall in love with a greater ideal of yourself, fall in love with the success you want in your life, obsess about your health, wellness and abundance, doesn’t that sound A LOT better? It sure does to me!
Lastly, observe yourself and become more self-aware. Just because you aren’t complaining, or nagging, don’t be that person who complains about the complainers! That’s just a nasty habit too.
Be an ambassador for what you want to see in the world and live your life at that high standard and be an expression of that. Be an example of truth, of love, of compassion and elegance. If you want peace, act peaceful, don’t war with your friends and family, and don’t cut off people on the freeway or give them the finger. If you don’t like corporate deception, then you be an expression of honesty and don’t lie, when everyone is afraid, you exhibit courage, if you don’t like lack, then you give and be an example of abundance and prosperity.
You be the shining example of what you want to see in the world and you too will change the world. Stop complaining, whining and being a downer, and watch the magic unfold. Now, what would your life look like if your stopped complaining? Awesome I bet!
Be the best you,
Susie G
